Ante-Natal Pilates Classes
Pilates has been shown to be hugely beneficial for expectant mums. The adapted Pilates exercises can help to avoid problems that can arise during pregnancy as a result of the changes occurring in the body and also help to prepare for the actual birth.
Our Ante-natal classes are taught by teachers who have completed specific training to ensure the exercises are safe and appropriate for the health and well-being of both mum and baby.
The classes are suitable for women who are in the second or third trimester of their pregnancy and who are fit and well and have been given permission to exercise by a medical practitioner.
We would ask that anyone wishing to join an ante-natal class contact us prior to making a booking.
Post-Natal Pilates Classes
Our specialist Post-Natal Pilates classes will help you regain your core strength in an appropriate way following the birth of your baby. The classes are suitable for anyone who has been given the all clear by their medical practitioner to re-commence exercising (usually after 8 weeks for a normal birth and 12 weeks for a C-Section).
The classes will allow you to get back to exercise in a safe manner that takes into consideration any issues that may have arisen as a result of your pregnancy including diastasis-recti and pelvic floor issues.
You are welcome to bring your (pre-crawling) baby to the class with you!
Both our Ante & Post Natal classes are limited to a maximum of 8 participants so you can be assured of excellent attention from your teacher.
